A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Iran and Cuba on medical equipment.

According to the Public Relations Department of Medical Equipment and Supplies, Engineer Seyyed Hossein Safavi, Director of the Medical Equipment and Supplies Department of the Ministry of Health, said: Following the meeting of the Cuban Ministry of Health's Medical Equipment and Supplies with the Deputy Minister and Head of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration On Sunday, 2019/10/29, the delegation visited the medical equipment production lines of Iranian companies in the campus of Science and Technology Campus in Tehran, Dr. Rafael Perez Cristiano, Director General of the Cuban Ministry of Health and Medical Regulatory Affairs, while praising Iran's actions. In the field of medical equipment making that progress L is considerably announced that in this area we can benefit from the experiences of the Iranian imports.

Following the announcement by the Cuban side of the readiness to use Iranian-made medical equipment in Cuba and the launch of its production lines in Cuba, the Safavid engineer said the MoU and the Food and Drug Administration had concluded an agreement with Cuba on cooperation. Technical and regulatory exchanges and technology transfer of medical equipment manufactured by Iran and Cuba took place this afternoon.

The Director General of Medical Equipment and Supplies said: "This agreement will promote the production and export of medical equipment and supplies made in Iran to Cuba and from Cuba to Latin America."

It is worth mentioning that currently 105 Iranian medical equipments and products that meet the international standards such as European CE mark are exported to 55 countries.
